This is book is about a young boy name Thomas. He wakes up one day and he is like in a box. As soon as he gets on top he is pulled by a group of boys. He doesn't know anything--not his name, age, where he came from and most importantly how he got there! He soon learns that he is in a place called Glade. He also learns there is a maze outside. Each day runners go out and try to find a way to come out. They try to come back before the doors closes because, once they close, they are stuck inside the maze with the Grievers. Then many more things happen...very weird things! Hint: A girl comes a day after Thomas arrives and it's very weird because they've never had a girl beforehand. The girl also brings in some bad news...
This book was very amazing. I mean like, just think, one day you wake up and you're like, "Why am I in a box?" Then you realize you don't know anything and you're in a whole new world. It's just scary, you know. I recommend this for all sci-fi lovers. It's very, very good. I hope you guys like it as much as I do.
This is the first book in the series. The second book is called The Scorch Trials and it is already in the library!
