This book is about a girl named Mary who lives in what the "Sisterhood" tells them is the only village left after the "Return." Mary has to figure out what to do when tragedy strikes and a stranger comes in from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Is there life beyond the fences and the Forest, full of Unconsecreted? Mary must band together wih friends after destruction falls on her village and go out into the unknown world. What will they find and what secrets will they uncover? I personally LOVED this book because of the way it was written and the way the author portrayed each character. It is a thrilling story that will make you long for more and keep flipping the pages. There is a very fine line between creepy and beautiful and Carrie Ryan has captured a perfect midway. This truly is a great read!
