sexual assault, these teenagers each have their own struggles to deal with and seem to grow stronger by considering the future and the legacy they want to leave.
The unique and dynamic characters in this story are what really made it such a great read for me. Each chapter is told from a different character's perspective so you really get to know every character and are able to see the softer, more vulnerable, side of them that they might keep hidden from others. All of the characters are great so it's hard to pick a favorite. But if I had to...I think I'd pick Dorian because he acts all tough and like he doesn't care about anything, but when you get inside his head and see him with his three younger brothers, you see just how much he does care and the responsibility he is shouldering as the man in the family since his dad went to prison. Which character is your favorite?

This book was amazing. I love how the author tells a personal story for each individual. Every character was wonderful. My favorite was Sunday because for a girl she is very brave and when she was harmed she tried her best to get out. This book also taught me to be grateful of life--don't hate it. It also showed me that race doesn't matter--it doesn't matter if you are black or white. I really like this book.
